Graduate Opportunities

We are looking to recruit graduate Geo-Environmental Consultants, Geotechnical Consultants and Remediation Engineers based in Bradford and Newark.

About the opportunities

These are not 9-5 office jobs. You will be on site in all sorts of British weather (hot and cold!), dealing with contractors and clients, ensuring Health & Safety compliance, diligent reporting and monitoring to keep the projects in line with schedule and budget. You need to be self-reliant, a team player, a practical problem solver and a quick thinker.

Responsibilities include:

  • Gas and groundwater monitoring
  • Logging of soil and bedrock
  • Sampling of soil/rock/groundwater, and scheduling samples for chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing
  • Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessment (Phase I) and Geo-environmental Assessment (Phase II) reporting
  • Interpretation of laboratory results
  • Assisting with and supervising ground Investigations
  • Preparing health and safety documentation

Qualifications

We are seeking graduates in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, environmental science, geography and geology and potentially a secondary qualification such as an MSc, or geoenvironmental related qualification.

A full UK Driving Licence (manual) is essential for the role and it is desirable to be a Member of a Professional Body.

We offer a fully integrated geotechnical and environmental consultancy, providing a comprehensive service from initial feasibility studies and investigations to the design, management, implementation and validation of complex remediation projects. We are award winning innovators and we love a challenge. We work on projects across the UK and beyond (even in Peru!).

We work with landowners, developers, consultancies, architects, engineers and forecourt owners to support property transactions and redevelopment. We assess complex contaminated land risks, advise on geotechnical constraints and foundation solutions and design and implement remediation schemes where required.
