About the opportunities

We would love to hear from you if you’re an enthusiastic and fearless individual who is looking for a Year in Industry placement opportunity. You must be keen to learn and be able to think on your feet. Relevant degree disciplines include Geography, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geologist and Environmental Science.

These exciting opportunities encompass a combination of field and office time; based in Bradford or Newark but working throughout the UK. You need to hold a full UK driving licence, be available to work across the UK and stay away from home on an occasional basis.

You will develop a diverse mix of skills, with hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines, including, ground risk, geotechnics, remediation engineering, investigation and monitoring, and writing interpretive reports. You will be provided with training through on the job experience with a mentor and as part of our team of project managers, engineers and consultants.

We work with landowners, developers, consultancies, architects and petrol station owners to investigate sites which are either about to be purchased, being redeveloped or have suspected contamination issues.

Where a risk is identified, we work with the client to identify the best solution protective of the environment and human health and providing a positive future for the site. Geo² specialise in decontamination and regeneration of land, designing and building, installing and operating our own treatment systems and solutions.
